Is it safe for a newborn?

Yes. The patented safety slot puts a physical barrier between the blade and skin, so it can’t reach a fingertip, even on the tiniest newborn nails.

How does it work?

Guide just the nail tip into the slot. It shaves a thin sliver with each pass, no pressing, no one big snip. Pivot the same nail as you trim for a smooth, rounded shape, then move to the next nail.

Is it quiet?

It’s gentle, not silent. It makes a light motorized hum while it runs; the gentleness is in the motion — no pinch, no pressure, no sudden snap.

Does it work on toenails?

Yes. It works on both fingernails and toenails. Infant and Child sizes fit babies’ and kids’ nails, while Teen and Adult sizes are made for standard nails. Not intended for thick adult toenails.

How long does a charge last?

Months per charge over USB. Charge it once and you’re set for a long while.

BABY NAIL CLIPPERS FOR FIRST-TIME PARENT NERVES – The Infant Lil Nipper is a newborn and toddler nail clipper clipper in one, sized for baby fingernails and toenails. The blade cannot reach skin, even when tiny fingers squirm or curl mid-clip.
BEHIND THE PATENTED SAFETY SLOT, A SELF-SHARPENING BLADE – A built-in stopper controls how much nail reaches the blade, shaving off a thin sliver at a time instead of snapping through. Gentle, controlled, so precise you barely feel it working.
DESIGNED FOR SENSITIVE EARS – The Lil Nipper operates with a consistent hum, intentional by design. Many sensory-sensitive kids find the predictable sound easier to tolerate than the sudden snap of a traditional clipper.
HOW IT WORKS, SHAVES THIN SLIVERS, NOT ONE BIG SNIP – Lil Nipper trims differently than traditional clippers. Guide the nail tip through the opening and repeat, gradually shaving small portions with each pass until you reach the desired length.
FOR BABY & TODDLER FINGERNAILS TOENAILS – The Infant slot is sized for newborn, baby and toddler nails and toenails to fit and trim safely. Designed in Minnesota by a family-run business.
